Our Story

We are two sisters with a shared passion for spreading love, appreciation, and humor through old-fashioned postage.

The idea for our pen-to-paper card business was born during countless hours spent together in the hospital beginning in February 2025. Layne suffered a catastrophic postpartum heart condition that required major surgery and an extended recovery, and Maril was by her side every step of the way. During that time, reading handwritten cards from family and loved ones became a powerful source of comfort—supporting recovery both mentally and physically. Those heartfelt messages sparked the idea for The Snail Mail Sisters.

We truly hope our cards bring warmth, affection, and smiles to both senders and recipients alike. From birthdays and words of appreciation to encouragement and congratulations, our ultimate goal is to remind people that they are supported through life’s peaks and valleys.
